Hidden treasures and Memories in A Powder Room in Quincy, MA

A space that was previously non-descript has now been transformed into a spot where guests enjoy washing up before they depart.

The unique artwork shown was selected from the client’s personal collection. Drawn by individual family members, these pieces have great sentimental value to the homeowner.  Stored away for years in a dusty old portfolio, the tree drawn on sketch paper by his mother and the ‘dark’ mysterious abstract by his aunt, were a perfect fit. Custom framed, these drawings were given new life and are now proudly displayed for all to see.

Although small, this powder room is appointed with impeccable details. Panel molding around the perimeter of the room combined with hand pressed 2x2 metal accent pieces highlight the tile floor bringing added character and dimension to this quaint little half bath.

The gray vanity, polished chrome hardware, rectangular sink and linear faucet were all elements deliberately selected to compliment the straight lines seen throughout the space and give it a contemporary vibe.
